Baby Isabella: Maternity & Newborn Photography in Bishop’s Stortford
Every newborn baby I meet is truly unique, so it’s really exciting to incorporate that into their photographs. Somehow it really helps get the creative juices flowing!
Recently, I was privileged to welcome Isabella and her parents into my photography studio just outside Bishop’s Stortford, and learn all about her amazing family across different countries. Photographs take on a new meaning for them.
During this global pandemic, travel is an impossibility, and for Isabella’s family in Argentina, it’s not clear when they will get to meet her in person. So the images we created are a beautiful introduction to this special little girl until such a time as they can see her face to face.
Isabella’s mum and dad brought with them some amazing fabrics from South America which had special meaning to them, and I love the colour and warmth they have brought to her gallery. Aren’t they gorgeous?
Of course, the star of the show is Isabella herself – she was such a dreamboat, and as you’ll see in the gallery below, she even blessed me with a beaming smile during her session. That moment really showed off her cute little dimples too: simply gorgeous!
Matching Maternity and Newborn Photographs
It wasn’t the first time in my Bishop’s Stortford studio for Isabella’s mummy, Helen – I was lucky enough that she also came to me for her maternity photographs, to document their journey from bump to baby.
One of my favourite things to do, when I know I am capturing both maternity and newborn photographs for a family, is to create a beautiful image of an expectant mother in all her radiance, and then a matching image with mum and baby once your little one has arrived. Helen looks simply beautiful in both photographs, and I know they’re photographs that she and Isabella will treasure for a lifetime.
If you are thinking about booking a maternity or newborn photography session, please do get in touch to secure a space in my diary – I often book up months ahead especially going into the autumn.
Here are a few of my favourite images from her session for you to enjoy:
